After more than two years of anticipation Google has finally unveiled the highly anticipated details of its new ultrahigh-speed Internet network, which is supposed to run 100 times faster than typical broadband connections.Google finally announced on Thursday that the company?s ultra-high speed internet service Google Fiber would become available to the residents of its test community Kansas City starting in September.

The service known as Google Fiber will be made available to users and they can access internet at high speed in selected parts of the metropolitan area in both Kansas and Missouri the option of purchasing the gigabit Internet service for $70 a month or both the Internet and a television service for $120 a month that includes more than 100 networks . The TV service, Google said, comes with a Nexus 7 tablet that serves as a remote.The package includes popular networks owned by major media companies such as Comcast Corp?s NBC Universal, Discovery Communications and Viacom Inc.
Google was inspired to release Google Fiber with the Federal Communication Commission?s 2010 National Broadband Plan, which calls for making high speed internet more widely available in the US.It will also intends to roll out product packages for businesses. Typical broadband providers undertake the costly task of providing service to millions of homes, while Google?s prototype will reach far fewer customers ? the initial round here is available to about 170,000 homes.

1.It provides the ability to record eight TV shows at a time and store up to 500 hours of high definition programming.
2.Google said it is setting up a 6-week ?rally? for consumers to vote on where the first fibre communities, or ?fiberhoods,? should be installed in the Kansas City area.
3.Consumers must pay $10 to register their household online for service. About 50 ?neighbors? will need to register in order for their area to be eligible for installation services??..

The company received invitations from almost 1,100 US communities and close to 200,000 individuals, all expressing their desire for faster internet service. Some cities even tried doing stunts hoping to attract the Google Fiber project, with one city mayor even jumping into a frozen river and posting the request on YouTube.
