Purpose of the role

The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing and ensures that these support the execution of the company?s overall strategy and goals. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product- and customer requirements in close coordination and alignment with the Strategy & Innovation Manager. By working closely together with development & partners the Product Manager is responsible to deliver successful products. The role also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure top & bottom line and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager will serve as internal and external evangelist for GlobalCollect?s product range, occasionally visiting clients to support sales with key customers.

Responsibilities

Develop, Manage & Market GlobalCollect?s card products and services in close cooperation with the rest of the Product Management team, including the following:

  • CNP Credit and Debit card processing
  • 3D Secure
  • Recurring & ?Card on file? functionality
  • Account Updater
  • DCC

Objectives

  • Increase top and bottom line of the GlobalCollect business
  • Strengthen Product & Services portfolio to meet market demands
  • Be a thought leader in the CNP market
  • Provide the GlobalCollect sales organization with the right knowledge and collateral
  • Ensure compliancy with Card Scheme Rules

Deliverables / Tasks

  • Managing the entire product line life cycle? from planning to activities
  • Deliver Product Requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Provides technical and commercial expertise, trains and motivates cross regional sales force on product to ensure best practices are shared across the regions
  • Develop functional and commercial documentation on products as well as, sales collaterals, marketing and communication strategy
  • Take part in lead- and strategic customer engagements, including traveling to customer sites in support of sales initiatives
  • To be able to deconstruct and solve problems, to investigate drivers and figure out ?why? things happen
  • Participate in UAT of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to program managers.
  • Document answers to customer technical and commercial questions that cannot be answered by sales staff or merchant services using existing documentation.
  • Initiate, analyze, prioritize and approve changes to existing products from merchants and other
  • Assist in the prioritization of bugs/issue resolution and ensure necessary documentation is updated.
  • Monitoring of product performance and merchant industry specific standards
  • Provide 1st line support to internal/operational departments as well as product functional training
  • Be very financially numerate- be able to understand and interpret data; build and develop solid ?product dashboards and benchmarking, make decisions and drive action where limited data may be available

Role? requirements

    • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager, preferably in the payments industry
    • Experience in Project leadership is desirable.
    • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
    • Fluency in English, written and spoken command of other languages are a plus;
    • Experience in a complex sales environment or service related business is a must;
    • Technical background preferred, with a focus on Internet technology
    • Experienced user of MS Office applications
    • Willing and able to travel internationally
    • Relocation to the Netherlands a must
